Doffing My Scarf to Miami Steve

There's a lot to like about Steven Van Zandt: nicknames (Miami Steve, Little Steven); his slide-guitar work on 1975 performances of "The E Street Shuffle"; his role as Silvio, on "The Sopranos"; his founding a satellite radio station and record label devoted to garage rock; the fact that he's serious about the whole head scarf/psychedelic gypsy/shirt-unbuttoned-to-the-navel look; his singing out against apartheid and for the release of Nelson Mandela (while sporting aforementioned ensemble). But what takes the cake is that Little Richard married him and his wife Maureen. And Springsteen was his best man. That rocks.
