From the desk of Peter Crowley:

Not much to say this week - just the following:

-The obligatory Michael Jackson tribute kicks off the show. It's a little unorthadox, but hey, what was ever traditional about Michael anyway?

-We're about halfway through 2009, so I figured I'd play some of my favorite music released in 2009 so far - no particular order. Some of it is only semi-released, like the Fiery Furnaces single - available for a free Web download; album pending.

-Because there wasn't much rhyme or reason to the song selection, I left out some great music that really is among my favorites of the last six months. Therefore, in addition to the stuff on the list below, I strongly encourage you to go down to your local record store and pick up new albums by Son Volt, King Wilkie, Dan Auerbach (of the Black Keys) and probably the new ones by Steve Earle and Levon Helm as well. You can take my word for it; if you like this show, you'll like those discs.

The Ten Dollar Radio Show - sounds like the soundtrack of summer 2009 and plays for free.
